Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin reminded Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (18 April 2025) that his statement as Chief Minister of Gujarat was to seek funding from the coalition government. He also asked the union’s interior minister Amit Shah if he could guarantee that demarcation would not reduce the demarcation of Tamil Nadu, thereby exempting the state from the scope of NEET and ensuring that Hindi is not imposed.
Mr Stalin recalled Mr Modi’s recent visit to Rameswaram’s government function in the Tiruvallur region, and recalled that those in Tamil Nadu were “crying” with funds, Mr Stalin: “What did he say?

Mr. Stalin said: “I am completely humble and respectful, and I want to remind the Prime Minister that it is you.” [Mr. Modi] He said the states were not beggars who extended funds to the coalition government. I’m just reminding you. ”
Mr Stalin recalled more statements and said, “What were you talking about when Gujarat’s Chief Minister? [that were in opposition to the Union government.”
Pointing out Tamil Nadu’s demands to the Union government for funds, Mr. Stalin said: “When we ask the same, how is to justified to say we are crying for funds? My asking is not crying but the right of Tamil Nadu. I am neither the one for crying nor the one who crawls and falls at someone’s feet. Let us extend our hands to our relations and voice out for our rights. Who taught us this? It was our leader Kalaignar [Karunanidhi]. I followed in his footsteps. ”

During his recent visit to Chennai, Union Home Minister Amit Shah claimed that we had raised some questions only as a transfer strategy, and he recalled and further argued: “Who said this? Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Tamil Nadu fought for all the countries in India.
Stalin said that not only the people of Tamil Nadu, but people in other parts of the country were aware of the struggle led by the DMK. “It is true when those who stand out from their path don’t have to lament for those we are transferring. Dear Union Home Minister Amit Shah! Can you say Tamil Nadu will exempt NEET from the scope? Can you guarantee you won’t impose Hindi? Can you list how much money to collect Tamil Nadu’s approval?”
“Can you make sure that the representatives of Tamil Nadu will not decline after the demarcation process is over? If we ask for a transfer, why not give the people of Tamil Nadu a clear explanation for these people?” asked Mr. Stalin.
CM has opened more than 6,700 projects completed in the Tiruvallur area with a total cost of Rs 1,166 crore. He also laid the foundation for more than 7,300 new projects and initiated the allocation of welfare measures to more than 2.02 million beneficiaries.
