According to media reports, Gauri began her career in the 1990s, hosting a weekly music countdown gig called Oye. The show aired on Channel V in India in the 90s, and the success of the show helped the popularity of young audiences. Careerly, Gauri entered the interior design field with Sussane Khan in 2010. In 2014, she opened her first concept store called Design Cell in Worli, Mumbai. In 2016, Gauri designed a fashion collection called “Cocktails and Dreams” for designer Satya Paul, before launching her studio Gauri Khan Designs in Mumbai. Gauri designed homes for many Bollywood celebrities, including Karan Johar, Siddharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, as well as Jacqueline Fernandes. Gauri also owns Tori restaurants in Mumbai. The restaurant was recently in the news when influencers claimed to have used adulterated panes in the hotel. However, the team issued a clarification and denied the claim, noting that they would never compromise on quality.
