Tom Cruise’s latest movie Mission: Impass has already started with a start, beating the homegrown superstars at the opening ceremony. The film was released in India a week before its release on Saturday, May 17, and opened with overwhelmingly positive reviews. The strong opening of the film proves that Tom and his M: My franchise has a market in India.
As Sacnilk reported, the final season of the mission: The Impossible Day earned Rs 17 crore, which included Rs 1.125 crore for English, Rs 465 crore for Indians, Rs 7 lakh for Telugu and Rs 4 lakh for Tamil Province. If you compare the Open to the previous part of the series (the first part of the deceased estimated), it opened in India for Rs 8 crore. Even the best censored film from the franchise, Mission: Impass Insport Altout, earned Rs 9.5 lakh in India.
How did Tom Cruise beat the Bollywood superstar this time?
If you compare the latest mission: the impossible opening, it has beaten Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force (Rs 1225 crore), Kesari Chapter 2 (Rs 7775 crore), and even Sunny Deol’s Jaat (Rs 950 crore). The biggest Bollywood opener of 2025 continues to be Vicky Kaushal’s Chaava, which opens in India with Rs 31 crore.

This movie is a direct sequel to Dead Reckoning’s first part (2023), and Ethan Hunt (Cruise) is running to master AI Superforce, i.e. Entity. In addition to Tom, the film also plays key roles of Hayley Atwell, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Henry Czerny and Angela Bassett.
