Traffic Warden fell into the sea and died while chasing rhythm of Mumbai

A 38-year-old traffic warden fell into the sea while chasing a speed, a rhythm that allegedly violated traffic regulations on coastal roads in southern Mumbai, police said on Monday. An official said the incident happened Saturday night.
The pace from Tata Garden to Worli is said to violate traffic rules and enter coastal roads where heavy vehicles are not allowed. Traffic watchman Wazir Shaikh then chased the rhythm on the scooter, the official said.
He said Shaikh lost control of his two-wheeler on the curve of the coastal road, and his vehicle slipped due to the sand there. The official said the scooter then hit the concrete railing of the road and Sheikh fell into the Arabian Sea.
He said a smart motor vehicle driver informed the police control room and after that, personnel from the Safety and Fire Brigade arrived at the scene and pulled Sheikh out of the waters. Police said he was taken to a citizen-run Nair Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The official said an accidental death case was conducted at the Gamdwi police station, adding that the incident is underway. The coastal highway extends from Marine Drive to the Mumbai coastline.
