Tribute paid to KL Rao on the anniversary of death

Vijayawada: Former MLA MALLADI VISHNU pays homage to the legendary engineer and politician Dr. KL Rao on the occasion of the latter’s death anniversary.
At the Velagapudi Ramakrishna Memorial Hall of Governor Vijayawada, held in the Velagapudi Ramakrishna Memorial Hall, Malladi Vishnu highlighted Dr. Rao’s extraordinary journey and his valuable contribution to the development of Andhra Pradesh and India.
The former MLA recalled that KL Rao was born in Kankipadu, Krishna region. Despite losing his father at the age of nine, he unswervingly pursued education. His perseverance and academic excellence have made him a role model for generations. In 1963, he received the honor of Padma Bhushan for his contribution to the irrigation and power sectors.
Vishnu noted that Dr. Rao played a role in planning and implementing major irrigation and hydropower projects Jogulamba Gadwal (TG). He is also a visionary behind the Pulichintala project, which has greatly transformed the Krishna Delta into a fertile agricultural area.
