President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he would call a separate call with Russian rival Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian Volodymyr Zelenskyy to stop “blood soaking.”
“I will speak to Russian President Vladimir Putin by phone at 10:00 am on Monday, with the subject of the call that will prevent the “Blood Bath” from killing more than 5,000 Russian and Ukrainian soldiers a week and trading…”
“Then I will talk to Zelenskyy of the President of Ukraine and then to President Zelenskyy of the various members of NATO. Hopefully this will be a productive day, there will be a ceasefire, this very violent war, a war that will never happen, will never happen, will end. God bless us all!!!”! ” he added.
Trump said Friday that he plans to meet with Putin “once we can build it”, which shows that his personal involvement is crucial to resolving the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Trump spoke at the end of his West Asia tour and stressed that current diplomatic efforts could stagnate unless he and Putin were directly involved.
His remarks came ahead of a meeting between Turkish Russian and Ukrainian officials, the first face-to-face negotiations since the early stages of the conflict. Despite the significance of the incident, the United States has downplayed the possibility of any real breakthrough, and Trump has expressed similar questions.
CNN reported that Ukraine will “nothing” happen in Ukraine until he and Putin meet.

Trump also weighed the absence of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. “He didn’t show up because he heard Putin didn’t go,” he said.
“If I weren’t there, he wouldn’t go, and I don’t believe anything will happen, whether you like it or not, until he and me get together.”
