Trump launches paid self-exclusion program to end ‘invasion’

Washington: President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Friday to create a paid flight and an “exit bonus” for anyone seeking to leave the United States “voluntarily, permanently” and receive a “exit bonus.”
In a statement posted on the White House website, Trump lashed out at immigrants, accusing those who stayed in the United States illegally for crime and violence.
“Illegal foreigners who stay in the United States face punishment, including – sudden deportation, only in our discretion,” Trump wrote in a post on the Truth Society.
The promise of reward is followed by a threat of punishment for those deemed to be violating immigration laws.
Trump said anyone who does not deceive himself can face “a lot of jail time, huge fines, confiscation of all property, all wages, imprisonment and imprisonment, and sudden deportation at our discretionary location and method.”
Friday’s announcement follows Trump’s comments to reporters on Monday, promising “pay a certain amount of money and we will bring them beautiful flights back to their source.”
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Monday that her department will operate a $1,000 stipend scheme that will be confirmed via the CBP Home App after a person returns to their home country.
In the video accompanying Friday’s post, Trump said: “As long as you’re not here, you can go anywhere.”
