On Tuesday, Forbes compiled a list of some of the highest box offices of the decade, but, made in the United States, but shot abroad. If these movies are covered by tariffs under Trump’s plan, these movies could face a big impact. Here are some of the movies on the list:
1. avatar: The Water Road was released in 2022 in New Zealand. It made $2.3 billion at the global box office. The film was produced by James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment, an entertainment company based in the United States.
2. Barbie was released in 2023 and won $1.4 billion in total global revenue. It was shot in the UK. The film's producers include American companies Mattel and LuckyChap Entertainment.
3. Deadpool & Wolverine was shot dead in the UK. The film earned $1.3 billion worldwide. The producers of the blockbuster are Marvel Studios, 21-loop entertainment and the biggest effort – all American companies point out.
4. Jurassic World Domination was issued in 2022 and managed to earn a total revenue of $1 billion. The film was filmed at locations throughout Canada, Malta and across the UK. All three production companies involved in film production are based in the United States.
5. Dr. Strange from another Marvel movie, Crazy Madness, was filmed in the UK. Its total global revenue is $955.8 million.
