U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he “begins to suspect” that Ukraine will reach a ceasefire agreement with Russia, urging Ukraine to meet with Turkey’s Russian officials on Thursday for negotiations.
“I began to doubt Ukraine would reach an agreement with Putin,” Trump wrote. “Russian President Putin does not want to reach a ceasefire with Ukraine, but wants to meet Thursday in Turkey to negotiate a possible end to the bloody bondage.”
The fact is that the meeting will mean both sides and European leaders, and the United States will “be able to determine whether a deal is possible.”
