Trump’s legal lawsuit The New York Times: Why should Donald Trump consider legal actions against the New York Times?

U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he is considering a legal lawsuit against the New York Times, his latest attack on major media. On his truth social platform, Trump slammed the New York Times’ report on legal lawsuits against CBS owner Paramount and said “this puts them in the responsibility for tort intervention, including the election we focus on.”
“Tort interference” occurs when the behavior of others intentionally damages a contract or business relationship.
The most important lawsuit revolves around the CBS program “60 Minutes” for a pre-election interview with Trump’s Democratic rival Kamala Harris, who claimed the program has been edited to cancel an embarrassing response.

In recent days, multiple U.S. media reported that Paramount leaders have approved plans to settle with Trump to help win the regulatory approval of the company’s sale to another company.
In reporting on potential settlements, channels, including the New York Times, said many legal analysts believe Trump’s case is groundless and could be dismissed or failed with widespread protection of press freedom.
“We are a real winner in the 60-minute case, CBS and Paramount are the ones that are real winners,” Trump said Wednesday.
“Despite all the above issues… The New York Times is fake news for writing and polls, claiming that ‘people’ say the case is unfounded.”

“There is no such thing, the answers for presidential candidates, which have been done before, and they have to pay for it, and the times should be in trouble for their possible illegal acts,” he said.
