Singapore has said it is very concerned about the ongoing “military confrontation” between India and Pakistan and urged both sides to relegate.
Tensions between India and Pakistan have surged significantly after the Indian Armed Forces conducted a precise strike against Pakistan’s terrorist launch pad and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) on Wednesday (7 May 2025).

Pakistan launched a fresh drone attack on 26 locations in India on the second night of Friday (May 9, 2025).
“Singapore is very concerned about the ongoing military confrontation between India and Pakistan following the outrageous terrorist attacks in Pahargam, Jamu and Kashmir,” the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said in a statement on Friday (May 9, 2025).
“We call on both sides to eliminate tensions through diplomatic means and to ensure the safety of all civilians,” it said.
Singapore strongly condemned the April 22 terrorist attacks in Jamu and Pahalgam in Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives.
On May 7, the Masters advised Singaporeans to postpone all non-essential travel to Jamu and Kashmir and Pakistan in India.

“Travelers should take precautions, especially in the border areas between Pakistan and India,” the master said.
The Master said it is recommended that Singaporeans in India and Pakistan be alert and take all necessary precautions for personal safety, including avoiding large gatherings, closely monitoring local news and paying attention to instructions from local authorities.
