The Chief Minister posted on “X” two of Sonitpur's Sajid Ahmed and Goalpara's Rojan Ali.

''Repression of the traitor defending Pakistan on Indian soil. So far, 45 anti-nationals have been parked in our prisons. We are looking for more. ” he said.
The Chief Minister said at a press conference here on Tuesday (May 6, 2025) that the provisions of the National Security Act (NSA) will be imposed on certain arrests, but not all.
Some people have apologized and said they won't do it again, he said.
Salma said the arrestees were classified as some were habitual criminals, while others were for publicity.

He added: “For political reasons, there is another category that is leaning left. The Commission will make a decision on the NSA, which will not be a political decision.”
Earlier, opposition Aiudf MLA Aminul Islam was arrested on suspicion of defending Pakistan and its accomplices in the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
Following the April 22 attack, Salma (2 May 2025) warned on Friday (2 May 2025) that strict action was taken against those who raised the slogan “Sindabad, Pakistan”.
At a campaign rally against the Panchayat election, he called on the people to pray and grant Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian army so that Pakistani terrorists hiding anywhere in the world could be brought to justice.
On April 22, terrorists were killed after attacks on Baisaran in Jamu and Pahalgam in Kashmir.
