Two girls from a village in the Ramgan area of pond were drowned in a pond, police said Friday. They said Bidan jumped in and saved her, but both girls ended up drowning in the pond.
The accident occurred in a pond outside Majra Lonianpurva in the Gadwa Nautala Gram Panchayat area of the Ramgaon Police Department. According to police, when the girl drowned, other children at the scene reminded the villagers and their families that they rushed to the scene.
Notify the police and send divers to the location. Both girls were retrieved from the pond late at night, but by then, they had passed away. Police have sent the body for autopsy and are currently investigating the incident.
