Two people steal motorcycles in three areas

The two stole the two-wheeled car at the Bulls Event and Temple Festival.

KV Kuppam police arrested two people on the Gudiyatham-Vellore Main Road near Katpadi on Wednesday for stole two-wheelers from the Vellore, Ranipet and Tiruvannamalai areas over the past two years.

Based on several complaints, Verol Police Chief Northern Mathivanan formed a special team to defeat the duo. His team analyzed CCTV footage on the route where the two-wheeler was stolen. During a special vehicle inspection, they intercepted the bicycle-trained duo, who made contradictory statements that could not provide valid documents for the vehicle.

Police said the arrested person was identified as 28-year-old R. Arunkumar, a resident of the town of Pallikonda and G. Praveen, 24-year-old of KV Kuppam. After completing some weird work, they began stealing two-wheeled cars at the Bulls and Temple Festival in the three districts. Each stolen vehicle is for sale between Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000.

The inquiry shows that the stolen two-wheeler belongs to the same motorcycle company because the two can more easily resell it to the black market if they find there is no document.
