IAF Akash Ganga’s Para Jump Coach was killed during Agra’s “Demo Drop”

An Akash parala jump coach of the Indian Air Force Akash parachuting team succumbed to injury during a “demo decline” in Agra on Saturday (5 April 2025), the IAF said.

Commander Ramkumar Tiwari (41) jumped from the helicopter at about 9:30 a.m., but due to technical failure, his parachute did not open on time, causing him to fall directly to the ground.

The officer died in a military hospital, sources said.

“The information about the death was received from the military hospital at around 12 noon. The Sadar Police Department has sent the body to the body for examination,” said Assistant Chief of Police Vinayak Bhosale.

In an article on X, the unit said: “A Para jump coach from the Akash Ganga Skydiving Team of IAF succumbed to the injuries injured during a demonstration held in Agra today. The IAF mourned the loss deeply and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereavement family and stood with them at this hour and with them at this hour.”
