UAVs are prohibited within RGIA radius

Hyderabad: Seiberbad police banned the flight of drones in the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad on Saturday with a radius of more than 10 kilometers. The order will come into effect from May 10 to June 9, 2025.

Cyberabad Police Chief Avinash Mohanty sent a notice on Saturday regarding this effect, empowering him under Article 163 of the BNSS to prevent danger or harm to a person and to ensure the safety and security of all relevant parties.

In the notice, police said that in an area of ​​10 kilometers radius from the RGIA, the flight activities of remotely controlled drones of any capacity, paratype or remotely controlled low-light aircraft will not be allowed.

Police said anyone who violates the order should be punished under relevant chapters.
