Vemulawada Temple extension starts on June 15

Karimnagar: The state government will start the long-awaited expansion of the historic Sri Raj Rajashwara Swami Temple starting on June 15, taking a major step towards a major step in Vemulawada, Rajanna Sircilla district.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy laid the foundation for the temple expansion last November. The government has allocated Rs 100 crore in the national budget and has approved Rs 4.7 crore.
Lord Shiva is the presidency god, while the temple complex houses the shrines of Lakshmi Ganapathi, Anantha Padmanabha Swamy and Sitarama Chandra Swamy, giving Hari-Hara Kshetram the status. The Dargah in the venue symbolizes public harmony, as both Hindus and Muslims participate in religious devotion and vows.
During major festivals such as Maha Shivaratri, Sravana Masam, Karthika Masam, Sri Rama Navami and Ugadi, the temple sees a hundred thousand devotees who have traditionally bathed in Dharma Pushkarini and tilted their heads.
Executive K. Vinod Reddy told Deccan Chronicle that senior officials from the donation department will visit Vemulawada to prepare a detailed action plan. A special meeting, held by Donor Minister Konda Surekha, will be held, and will be followed by a visit to Sringeri Peetham for spiritual guidance.
The remodeled temple will reflect the rich traditional and architectural beauty of the area. The Shiva idol will be installed in the middle of the temple pond (Pushkarini), creating a fascinating experience. He added that the surrounding ponds will be pedestrian paths and landscaped parks, thereby enhancing the overall pilgrimage.
Government Director Whip and Vemulawada MLA Aadi Srinivas said the renovation of the temple will reflect a 1,000-year legacy, which includes world-class facilities for devotees. He praised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for his visit to initiate the development of the temple and town. He criticized the previous administration for neglecting the temple, saying they had only taken temporary measures to deceive devotees.
