Unapproved Sindoor Action Trademark Application, Withdrawal: Reliance

Hyderabad: Reliance Industries Limited issued a clarification Thursday stating that it had no intention of trademarking Operation Sindoor after it had no intention of placing public objections in its trademark application.
Reliance said in an official statement that the application was “inadvertently filed by an unauthorized junior officer” and has now been withdrawn.
“Operation Sindoor, a sentence, is now part of national consciousness, as an evocative symbol of Indian heroism, has become a symbol of national pride after the recent military operation responded to the Pakistan-sponsored terrorist attack on Pahargam,” the statement said.
The company reiterated: “Our commitment to the Indian motto remains unwavering.”
Earlier, Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Industries Limited and three others were one of the first to file a trademark application, which seeks exclusive rights to the Level 41 “Sindoor Operation” name, which covers entertainment, education, culture and media services.
Individuals who have also applied for trademarks are Mukesh Chetram Agrawal, groups Kamal Singh Oberh (Retd) and Alok Kothari.
