Unions welcome ceasefires and call for peace in the interests of workers

Various central trade unions welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire between India and Pakistan and called for a worker’s population.

Tapan Sen, secretary general of the Centre for Trade Unions of India (CITU), said in a statement that once the news of a cessation of the war was received, the people of both countries needed peace when they needed their own progress, and therefore were relieved.

CITU sincerely hopes that India and Pakistan should rebuild mutual trust and cooperation to curb and eliminate the threat of terrorism, which is non-human, and strive to promote our historical ties and relationships with new heights that will not only bring terrorist activities to the entire country. He called on the working people of both countries that they should not allow the subcontinent to be a theater for terrorist conspiracy and demanded that they always be wary of such designs.

Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh State Secretary V. Radhakrishnan congratulates Indian Defense Forces on robbing terrorism and teaching Pakistan a lesson. “We welcome the ceasefire. However, we urge the government to manage the situation with caution because Pakistan cannot be trusted, and this is not modern society,” he said.

The opposition CTU will meet on May 15 to review their preparations for a one-day strike on May 20 for the implementation of the proposed four labor regulations. Sangh Parivar’s union Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh asked the opposition to abandon all protests after operation Sindoor.
