Unite after testimony of attacks on international community with zero tolerance for terrorism: India

India said global leaders expanded “strong, clear” support and solidarity after the terrorist attack on Pahalgam, a testament to the international community’s “zero tolerance” to terrorism.

“The Pahargam terrorist attacks have been the highest number of civilian casualties since the 26/11 Mumbai attack in 2008,” said India’s ambassador Yojna Patel.

Ms Patel added: “For decades, India has been a victim of cross-border terrorism and India is fully aware of the lasting impact of such an act on victims, families and society.”

Ms Patel spoke on Monday at the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office’s mixed launch event for the “Netizen Victims of the Network”.

“After the recent terrorist attacks in Pahalgam, Jamu and Kashmir, leaders and governments around the world have extended the strong, clear support and solidarity of global leaders and governments. This is a zero tolerance for the international community’s zero tolerance for terrorism.” The terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22 killed 25 Indians and a Nepali citizen. The victims are mainly tourists from all over India.

Including U.S. President Donald Trump, U.S. Vice President JD Vance, Russian President Vladimir Putin, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, French President Emmanuel Macron, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and UN Director Antonio Guters and UN Secretary Guters Gutem the Pohal terrorist attacks and solid terrorist attacks and solid terrorist attacks and solid terrorist attacks.

Last week, 15 UN Security Councils issued a press statement condemning the terrorist attacks in Jamu and Kashmir “in the strongest way”, stressing that the persons responsible for these killings should be held accountable and that organizers and sponsors of such “deserved acts of terrorism” should be brought to justice.

Council members “ stressed that those responsible for these killings should be held accountable and urged all states to actively cooperate with all relevant authorities in this regard in accordance with the obligations of international law and relevant Security Commission resolutions.” The press statement was a statement issued by the President of the Security Council to the media on behalf of all 15 members.

France was the president of the Council in April, and the permanent representative of the president of the French Council issued a press statement to UN Ambassador Jerome Bonnafont.

Pakistan is currently a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. A news report requires agreements from all Council members and is negotiated text.

Ms. Patel stressed that the Council said in its statement that perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors should be held responsible and brought to justice for acts of terrorism.

She said: “Terrorism is criminal and unreasonable, no matter their motives, whenever, wherever.

India also called the establishment of victims of the terrorist association (votan) a major step, saying it would provide victims with a structured, secure space for victims to listen and support.

“India believes that initiatives such as votan are crucial to strengthening global response to terrorism and ensuring that victims remain at the center of our collective efforts,” Patel said.

The hybrid launch begins with a video showing testimony from survivors and families of terrorist attack victims around the world, including the sons of Karambir Singh Kang, the survivors of the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attack, Nidhi Chaphekar and Nidhi Chaphekar and the son of a woman, and a woman killed on the way from Toronto to London in 1985.

Ms. Ms. Chaphekar was a survivor of the ISIS bombing at Zaventem Airport in Brussels, Belgium in March 2016.

She was a cabin manager for Air India’s Jet Airways, and after the photo, she became the victim and survivor of the terrorist attack, showing that she fell on the airport chair, her shocked face bleeding, covered in dust, her yellow jet uniform blazer was separated, showing the world the horror of the attack.

Voters are an initiative to bring together victims of terrorism and victim associations to promote collective action to support victims’ rights and needs.

“Terrorism remains a serious threat to international peace and security, and a daily reality for thousands of people around the world. Women, children and young people continue to be one of the most vulnerable victims of these attacks. Given the global nature of the threat, there are no countries, no communities, no individuals, no individuals, no ones, no ones, the United Nations said.

The goal of the voter is to provide a safe space for victims and survivors of terrorism to support each other, build resilience and engage as advocates, educators and peacebuilders.

It said that by promoting cooperation, sharing best practices and amplifying victims’ voices, the network seeks to enhance social resilience to resist the impact of terrorism.

The development of the network is supported by financial contributions from Spain. The initiative is a key result of the United Nations First Global Victims of Terrorism at the United Nations Headquarters in New York in September 2022.
