Unpredictable as the weather changes

Hyderabad: IMD issued a warning about high temperatures and thunderstorms in various parts of the state on Saturday. Thunderstorms and hail are expected in at least 16 areas on Sunday, despite the North being in trouble with severe heat.
According to the IMD, the formation of clouds – towering clouds – towering clouds – low attitude – caused sudden changes in the weather in the afternoon. After recording high temperatures in the first half of the day, many areas, including Hyderabad, began experiencing heavy rain, strong winds and hail in the evening.
The Telangana Development Program Association said the maximum temperature in most GHMC circles exceeded 40°C on Friday. Malakpet, Jubilee Hill and Secunderabad all recorded 40.6°C. During the same period last year, several areas including Uppal and Kapra had a height above 42°C.
Jagtial, Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Manchester and Nirmal (all in Northern Telangana) recorded temperatures of 43.8°C.
On Easter Sunday, April 20, IMD predicted thunderstorm activity in 16 regions, including Hyderabad, Langdidi, medchal-malkajgiri, Nalgonda, Khammam, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Warangal, Hanumakonda and Suryapet. Sudden downpour and strong winds are expected to affect urban and rural areas.
Weather experts say unstable weather is driven by local heating and moisture dynamics. “This fluctuation is typical of monsoon behavior before April, but what we are seeing now is an increase in intensity and unpredictability.” In areas prone to storms, the risks of lightning strikes, trees falling and flooding remain high. The state’s agriculture and electricity sector is also on standby in emergency situations due to possible rainfall over the next 48 hours.
