UPSC 2024 Civil Service Results Announced; Shakti Dubey Secures First Place

The United Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results of the 2024 Civil Service Examination on Tuesday (April 22, 2025). Shakti Dubey finished first, while Harshita Goyal and Dongre Archite Parag finished second and third respectively.

A total of 1,009 candidates are eligible for the Civil Service Examination, which was conducted on June 16, 2024. A total of 5,83,213 candidates took the exam.

A total of 14,627 candidates are eligible to appear in court in a written (main) exam held in September 2024. Of these, 2,845 candidates are eligible to take the exam personality test.

Ultimately, the Committee recommended that a total of 1,009 candidates (725 men and 284 women) appoint various services.

Among the ultimately qualified candidates, the top five make up three women and two men. Ms. Shakti Dubey received her first position in the 2024 Civil Service Examination. She is a bachelor’s degree graduate from the University of Allahabad.

B.com graduate Harshita Goyal, a B.com graduate from the University of Varoda, finished second with political science and international relations as her optional topics.

VIT, VELORE alumnus Dongre Archite Parag won third place with philosophy as his optional subject. He is an electronics engineering graduate. Shah Margi Chirag and Akash Garg received the fourth and fifth grades of engineering.

The recommended candidates also included 45 people with benchmark disabilities, including 12 osteopathic disabilities, 8 visual challenges, 16 hearing impairments, and 9 multiple disabilities.

Candidates will be recommended to be appointed to Indian Administrative Services, Indian Foreign Ministry, Indian Police Department and Central Services (“A” and Group “B”).
