How Abhishek Sharma Successfully Takes UPSC Exam

In a conversation with Jagran, Abhishek tells his UPSC success story and his journey to clear the CSE exam. He said he was filled with strong confidence when he started his journey with UPSC. He felt he was ready to study and crack the coveted UPSC exams. However, this overconfidence made him tolerate the exam after he was unable to clear the first two attempts.

After two attempts, he became hopeless and thought he would be unable to clear the exam, and becoming an IAS official would always be a dream. What disappointed him was that he even thought of leaving the level of preparation, but his family and friends encouraged him to take on the challenge and continue to learn. This gave him confidence and he started his preparation again.

Besides his family, the greatest promotion was the post-poem, because Abhishek was interested in poetry, which ignited the fire inside him after reading the poems of the poet Arjun Sisodia. “”युदनहीं, वेवेअभहोंगे, यहोंगेगेगेतोणकोकोकोकोको (Those who have not had war in their lives are unfortunate, either broke their promises or must have escaped the war.)

“I put this on the study table. Whenever I lost morale before, this poem made me remember that those who fought showed up the winner. Then, I gave me all the hard work.”

Tips and strategies for cracking UPSC exams

Abhishek recommends not learning by calculating hours, but achieving the goal of completing tasks. Staying consistent is key. He said he once asked himself, what and why it is important in life? “Losing hope feels wrong after seeing the sacrifice of parents.” Speaking about how to prepare for the current events part, he said: “Be more aware of static issues related to the current situation.” He places more emphasis on inspiration, effort and support.
