Swachha Andhra Diwas on April 19 theme “E-Check”

Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Minister P. Narayana directed officials to make arrangements for the successful holding of the Swachha Andhra-Swachha Diwas program on April 19, 2025.

During a conference call with the Municipal Commissioner on Friday (April 18, 2025), Mr Narayana said the plan was held on the third Saturday of each month with a different theme each month to make the state 100% cleaner in accordance with the vision of the Chief Minister.

Saturday’s show’s theme is “Electronic Checks,” aiming to collect and reuse e-waste from houses and stores in towns and rural areas.

Mr. Narayana stressed that people need to participate in the threat of people to curb the threat of electronic waste materials that bring huge environmental hazards.

He said special centers are being established by municipalities to collect e-waste, and the existing RRR (reduction, reuse and recycling) centers are being converted into e-waste collection centers. The responsibility for collecting e-waste is to allocate women from the self-help group to women.

There are 222 e-waste collection centers in the state, and several companies have stepped forward to reuse e-waste. These centers will remain open throughout the day.

Chief Secretary (MA and UD) S. Suresh Kumar and Swachha Andhra Corporation Chairman K. Pattabhiram and Md Anil Kumar Reddy were present.
