The Trump administration announced a trade deal with Britain on grand terms on Thursday, but limited only the details of what it will achieve. The White House said the deal would open the UK market to U.S. beef, ethanol and other agricultural products. It will also allow British cars and steel to be better used with American consumers. President Donald Trump said Thursday at the Oval Office that additional details will be formulated in the “next weeks.” But in a profile, the government said the deal was “historic” and “a large number of deals to the United States.” British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the deal would protect thousands of car jobs and stress the importance of relations between the two countries.
