US Vice President JD Vance landed in India on Monday for four days | Indian News

US Vice President JD Vance, accompanied by his India-wife Usha Chilukuri Vance and his three children, will arrive in India on Monday for a four-day official visit as part of his wider international tour.
The visit marks the first visit by the current U.S. Vice President in India in more than a decade, the last time Joe Biden’s trip in 2013.
Vice President Vance will land at the Param Air Force Station in New Delhi on Sunday night after landing in Italy on Friday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi plans to hold negotiations and dinner on Monday night at his official residence, Lok Kalyan Marg.
The conference is expected to cover a long-discussed bilateral trade agreement in India and explore ways to deepen strategic and economic ties between the two democracies. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar are expected to participate in the discussion.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Vice President will be accompanied by a high-level delegation of five people, including representatives from the Pentagon and State Department.
After his engagement in the capital, Vance will fly to Jaipur on April 21, and he will stay on April 24 on April 24.
They will enjoy Jodbury “wildlife” on a two and a half hour tour and enjoy folk shows, puppet shows, traditional costumes and regional cuisine. During the visit, the palace will remain closed to the public and designate 12 well-trained guides to assist and maintain the agreement.
Police officers in Rajasthan, including plainclothes officers, have been mobilized and a 20-car convoy will support the US vice president’s movement. An ambulance specially equipped with senior doctors and emergency medical infrastructure was arranged with part of the VVIP protocol.
Later that day, Vance will give a keynote speech at the US-India Business Summit at the International Centre of Rajasthan.
The summit will see the participation of top Indian and American officials, and Vance is expected to articulate his vision for enhancing bilateral trade and investment.
On April 23, Vice President Vance will travel to the U.S. Air Force plane to visit the Taj Mahal. After spending about three hours on the monument, he will return to Jaipur on the same afternoon and visit the Jaipur city palace.
He plans to meet with Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Governor Haribhau Bagade later on April 22.
Vice President Vance will leave Washington at 6:30 a.m. on April 24, concluding that the visit is expected to strengthen the growing partnership between the United States and India on the regional and global fronts.
