Experts say that innovative ways to enhance children’s learning experience.

In the second edition of the workshop series on “Celebrating Dr. S. Anandalakshmy – Conversations in Education”, speakers highlighted the need to enhance children’s learning experience through innovative approaches.
The theme of the seminar on Saturday was “Related to young learners through songs, short plays and stories.”
A booklet called “Early Parenting (3 – 6 Years”, is a sequel to “Birth – 3 Years”. The guide has been adapted from Hincks-Dellcrest Learning through the game calendar. The state government distributed the Tamil version of the first booklet to 55,000 Anganwadi centers.
Indu Balagopal, Lakshmi Gopal and Swathantra Sakthivel played a role in making these two brochures.
S. Anandalakshmy is recognized for her work in the fields of early parenting and development. She led Vidya Mandir in Chennai in her early years and served as president of Bala Mandir Kamaraj Trust from 2016 to 2019. She has established multiple partnerships across the country and has introduced unique forms of research and project work.
Sumitra M. Gautama, principal of the Palar Learning and Pathashaala Center at KFI; N. Latha, director of government examinations at the school’s education department; VR Devika, founder of Aseema Trust, talks about the advantages of positive and negative teaching and its impact, integrating songs, stories and dance into teaching.
