Uttar Pradesh political leader Ice Army operates for sindoor

Uttar Pradesh political parties and leaders expressed strong support for the Indian armed forces following the Pahargam attacks on Wednesday (7 May 2025).
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the armed forces' quick and resolute reaction during a mock exercise held by the Reserve Police Department in Lucknow.

“In today's time, every citizen has a duty to put the country above all. We will not allow anyone to compromise on India's pride and honor. Last night our troops should be sincerely congratulated on their courage to respond to the Pahargam terrorism incident – to the three armed forces and to our competent Prime Minister,” said Mr Adityanath.
Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati also praised the action, calling it “glorious and commendable”. “The 'action' of the Indian army to destroy nine terrorist hiding places in Pakistan is glorious and commendable,” she said in an article on social media platform X.

Akhilesh Yadav, President of the Samawadi Party (SP), responded to similar sentiments, whose party insisted on all efforts aimed at eliminating terrorism. “We have been saying: the attack is the root of the root of the branch, and the branch will fall. We praise the Indian army, which is fully capable of making a strong response. Border security must be ensured by vigilance. No mistakes will be tolerated. We have full confidence in the armed forces,” Mr Yadav said in the news interaction.
Uttar Pradesh continues to be highly alert after the Indian military’s targeted actions across the border, and security agencies remain vigilant throughout the state.
