VACB Assistant Professor of Books Kozhikode School of Medicine

Ernakulam’s Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) Special Cell has conducted cases against doctors, allegedly owning assets worth Rs 19.78 lakh disproportionately to his known source of income.
Saji Sebastian, 54, is from Thrissur, now serving at the Kozhikode Government Medical College and is the person to be booked. The VACB conducted a preliminary investigation into the defendant after it was allegedly found in a private practice during a flash examination.
While working as an associate professor at the medical school, Dr. Sebastian has allegedly discovered Sebastian’s property, including deposits of Rs 255 crore in various bank accounts. A statement issued by VACB said from it, Rs 19.78 lakh was found to be disproportionate to his known source of income.
A VACB special cell team raided Dr. Sebastian’s house in Thrissur and his temporary residence in Kozhikode on Friday, claiming that he had seized about 10 documents, which were disproportionately related to his source of income.
