JCO dies in the Siachen glacier area; Army pays tribute

Srinagar: The Army headquarters in LEH, also known as the Legion of Fire and Angry, reported on Sunday the death of the Junior Commission Office (JCO) of Siachen, the world’s highest battlefield.
“The general order of the corps of fire and anger (Lt. Hitesh Bhalla) and people of all levels sacrificed the highest sacrifice in the duties of the Siachi Glacier on April 20, 2025 and expressed the highest sacrifice on the xvi corps to the sold families.” It did not elaborate on the life of Naib Subedar.
On March 20, the Army’s XVI Army reported that two Jawa people, Havildar Kishore Bara and Sepoy Suraj Kumar, died in Ladakh. It then also did not elaborate on the circumstances that led them to make the “highest sacrifice.”
Meanwhile, six Army Java County were injured while their vehicles were driving on the trail and were near a deep canyon near the Chopra shop on Sunday and Udhampur district in Kashmir.
Police said preliminary investigations showed that the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating along the curve of the hilly road. It added that a rescue team, which consisted of the Army and J&K police, launched a rescue operation and evacuated all injured people to a nearby military hospital.
