'Verify your facts; unknown information: India's “Sindoor Action” report in the global era of China | World News

sindoor action: In a strong reaction to a report on China’s global era, India urged media organizations to “verify facts” and interrogate sources. The dispute in the report revolves around the claims that the Indian Air Force (PAF) shot down three Indian fighters after India launched a military operation against Pakistan's terrorist infrastructure and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK).

“Dear @globaltimesnews, we recommend that you verify your facts and cross-examine the source before launching this unwise situation,” the Indian Embassy wrote in a series of posts in Beijing.

“In the context of #operationsIndoor, some pro-Pakistan handles are spreading unfounded claims in an attempt to mislead the public. When media channels share such information without verifying the source, it reflects serious mistakes in responsibility and journalistic ethics,” it added in another post.

“The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down another Indian fighter jet in response to the overnight air strikes carried out by India at several locations in Pakistan,” the Global Times reported.

Media organizations quoted “sources from Pakistani military”.

Earlier, an article on PIB fact-check X had informed the Pakistan account that it shared a crash video claiming Pakistan shot down another Indian fighter.

It clarified that “the video shared began in February 2025, depicting a crash of the Indian Air Force (IAF) Mirage 2000 aircraft near Shifpri, Guarrir, which took place during a regular training mission.”

The Indian Armed Forces provided detailed insights on Operation Sindor, a precise strike operation launched on the terrorist infrastructure of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK). This is in retaliation for the terrible attacks in Jamu and Pahargam in Kashmir on April 22.

The strike was conducted between 1:05 and 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, involving coordinated efforts by the Indian army, navy and air force.

During a press conference at Delhi’s hour, Foreign Minister Vikram Misri, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh provided details about the air strike. There are 9 terrorist sites in Pakistan, including five in POK, related to Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM), with the goal of planning to avoid civilian casualties.
