The Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigated the so-called alcohol scam during the term of the YSR Congress Party (YSRC) government in Andhra Pradesh, asking former Rajya Sabha member VV Vijaya Sai Reddy about Vijayawada.

Investigators reportedly raised questions about the so-called multi-million scam, with public representatives, bureaucrats and private involved.

Several YSRCP leaders allegedly colluded with some officers to distilleries, launching about 30 new brands of liquor from 2019 to 2024, and only cash payments are encouraged.

“During the inquiry, the field officials asked me about the meetings discussing alcohol policy, as well as the officials and personnel who participated and participated in and participated in these deliberations,” said Mr. Vijaya Sai Reddy.

The former YSRCP leader said: “The official on the scene asked if the kickback was paid, if yes, the person who paid, the person who paid, the person who paid, the Rs 10 billion loan he and others received, and whether the loan and interest were paid back.”

SIT officials also asked Mr Vijaya Sai Reddy about the sale of non-clothing paid wine (NDPL) in Andhra Pradesh and neighboring states.

P. Midhun Reddy, Sajjala Sridhar Reddy and Kasireddy Rajashekar Reddy had attended the meeting with him.

“I told SIT that I don’t know the rebates and the people who gave them. Regarding the sale of NDPL and the new brewery company, only Mr. Kasireddy Rajashekar Reddy can reveal the facts.”

“I think the investigators are satisfied with my answer. If the SIT asks me to come again as part of the investigation, I will come,” said Mr Vijaya Sai Reddy.

He added: “Only Mr. Kasireddy Rajashekar Reddy can tell the story of taking advantage of Rs 10 billion loans, the floating of new breweries, closing certain companies and other issues.”

When asked if he intends to join politics again, Mr Vijaya Sai Reddy clarified that he did not participate in the Rajya Sabha seat.

He said: “In 2018, Mr. Kasireddy Rajashekar Reddy joined the YSRCP. He allegedly had no criminal record and I encouraged him and gave him a key position at the party.”
