Operation Sindor: Maharashtra leader cross-party, celebrity praises Indian armed forces

The responses of various political leaders, celebrities and citizens were reacted after the government announced Operation Sindoor, a retaliatory action against terrorists involved in the Pahargam attack.

Richa Mone, daughter of Atul Mone who was killed in the Pahalgam attack, expressed happiness, noting that the attack marked the beginning of a major change. She shared how families of those who sacrificed their lives now find peace, noting that despite their constrained belief in the Modi government, they are happy to see the action taken. The operation was a step towards an end to the terrorist attacks, she added.

Her emotions were responded by Atul Mone’s wife, Anushka Mone, who expressed satisfaction with the government’s decision. She explained that they were informed of India's operations around 3 a.m. and that the news that Pakistan had deleted nine missiles made her feel hopeful. Although she acknowledged that those who were lost by the attack could not return, she stressed that the change brought about by the action was positive and hoped that it would continue to succeed.

The Chief Minister of Maharashtra also expressed his agreement with the government's actions. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed his full support to the operation. He praised the Indian army and the Navy and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for leading the successful mission. He also thanked the country for standing behind the Prime Minister and the Armed Forces, while calling on Pakistan to continue spreading terrorism globally.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal expressed his thoughts on X, pointing out that all forms of terrorism must be eliminated, while praising the decision to strike on POK only on terrorist sites.
The opposition also welcomed the government's actions, and leaders acknowledged the importance of decisive action. Nationalist Congress leader Sharad Pawar also said he had announced with the armed forces: “We stand with the armed forces.” He said every Indian has confidence in the Indian army, which protected the sovereignty of the countries by taking bullets to their chests and congratulating the soldiers who carried out the operation. Supriya Sule, also from the Nationalist Congress party, brought clear support messages to X and pointed out that they stood with the armed forces
Aaditya Thackeray expressed support that the strike should have enough influence to ensure that terrorism will never have another chance.
Shiv Sena spokesman Krishna Hegde reiterated his praise for the actions taken by the government, adding that the success of the mission marked a strong commitment to ending terrorism and safeguarding citizens.
Jayant Patil, a member of the KMT Congress, expressed further praise, noting that every Indian is confident in the Indian army, which continues to protect India's sovereignty. He praised the Indian Air Force for conducting precise air strikes at nine terrorist sites in the early hours of the morning, noting that the mission was carried out without harming Pakistani civilians at the military site.
Celebrities quickly expressed their support for the action, and many were willing to share their ideas. Anupam Kher posted a happy happiness for success in his tweet “Bharat Mata Ki Jay”. Similarly, Riteish Deshmukh has the same patriotism.
