On Monday morning, a few minutes after he announced his retirement from Test cricket, Star Batter Virat Kohli was found at the Mumbai airport with his wife and actor Anushka Sharma. In the visuals captured by Paps, the couple can be seen focusing on the chat, but they also smile and wave the shutter and bite. Virat looked cool in a beige shirt and matching pants while Anushka looked cool in a striped pink and blue shirt and loose jeans. Kohli shocked fans from the retirement announcement of the red ball cricket format after a few minutes of the airport appearance.
Kohli took to his Instagram handle and announced his decision to retire from the longest format of the game.”It’s been 14 years since I first wore the baggy blue in Test cricket. Honestly, I never imagined the journey this format would take me on. It’s tested me, shaped me, and taught me lessons I’ll carry for life. There’s something deeply personal about playing in whites. The quiet grind, the long days, the small moments that no one sees but this is always with you,” Kohli wrote on Instagram.
“It’s not easy when I’m away from this format – but it feels good. I’ve given me everything and it gives me feedback far more than I hoped. I’m grateful for the game and walk away – sharing with me the people in this field, letting everyone I see with everyone will look back. I always look back on my tests.
During his exam career, the 36-year-old made 123 appearances in white costumes with an average score of 46.85, with 210 innings scores of 30 and 3150s and 3150s and 254*. He is India’s fourth-highest runner in format, behind only Sachin Tendulkar (15,921 runs), Rahul Dravid (13,265 runs) and Sunil Gavaskar (10,122 runs). He made his debut in June 2011 in testing of the West Indies.
