Virat Kohli’s brother digs to Sanjay Manjrekar on strike rate on rcb stars

Manjrekar made two key comments about Kohli’s batting ability during the game, saying he wasn’t performing at the peak of his match against Bumrah and didn’t include him in social media posts to learn about the best batting performances of IPL 2025 in IPL 2025.

Indian Cricket Feeling Virat Kohli’s brother Vikas Kohli has a sharp response to former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar, commenting on recent comments about his brother’s performance in the ongoing IPL 2025. Manjrekar made two key remarks about the 36-year-old’s combat capability during the game. Initially, Manjrekar suggested that Kohli did not perform at his peak when facing Jasprit Bumrah. Later, the former Indian captain failed to join Kohli in a social media post, highlighting the top hitting performances in IPL 2025.

Vikas entered the social media platform thread in a straightforward and unapologetic way to address Manjrekar’s comments. He noted that Manjrekar’s own career ODI strike rate suggests that it’s easy to criticize the player’s performance when it doesn’t reach the 200-plus batting strike rate itself.

“Mr. Sanjay Manjrekar. Career ODI strike rate: 64.31. Easy to talk about 200 plus strike rate,” the post reads.

The main attraction of Mumbai Indians and Royal Challenger Bengaluru at M Chinnaswamy Stadium is Kohli facing a Bumrah that is making a comeback. Manjrekar said on Star Sports that he thinks Bumrah is the best in his game now, so he will dominate the game. Meanwhile, he suggests that Kohli’s peak may have ended.

“Virat Kohli was at the best 5-6 years ago. JaspritBumrah was at the top. Jasprit Bumrah stock is rising,” Manjrekar told Giostal. “Virat Kohli’s stock used to be at the top, but not now. It’s not the best fight.”

Two weeks later, Manjrekar released a “batting only roster” that included seven players, as well as the total number of runs in IPL 2025 and strike rates on X, formerly known as Twitter. However, Kohli’s name is not on the list.

Virat Kohli is currently ranked second in most of the IPL 2025 season, earning 443 runs in 10 innings, with an average of 63.29 strokes and a strike rate of 138.87. His outstanding performance helped push the top spot for Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) and scored 14 points in 10 matches. Now, they are only a win from winning the playoffs.
