Visakhapatnam: North Zone Police of Visakhapatnam has been investigated by 23-year-old Sriram Datta Praneeth, 23, for suicide. He was allegedly caught cheating during a gynecological examination held in a private medical school in Sangiya Sara, about 25 kilometers from the city.
ACP North District S. Appalaraju told the correspondent that they had registered a case, performed an autopsy on the student’s body and handed it over to the parents.
According to the initial investigation and video, Praneeth has hidden rosary, and when arrested, seek pardon from his guardian. But the supervisor refused, pointing out that it was a violation of the rules. Afterwards, Prens jumped off the fourth floor of the building.
Appalaraju said their investigation is continuing and they have not yet determined the exact cause of the death.
Bheemli Mla Ganta Srinivasa Rao visited the campus for investigation. “According to the student’s account, praneeth’s OMR form was allegedly taken away by the guardian. Despite his request, the supervisor refused to return. After the exam, the student reportedly jumped off the building.”
The MLA said that if the investigation reveals any kind of harassment by university management, they will ensure strict action on the person in charge.
According to university authorities, Deputy Chief President Sridhar Reddy found Praneeth hidden an unauthorized basis during the exam. Then, he confiscated the answer sheet and materials. The report shows that despite pleasing to officials, Praneeth was banned from continuing the inspection.
The chief president has not escalated the matter to the medical university considering the future prospects of the students. But despite the security personnel trying to intervene, Praneeth was frustrated by the situation and jumped out of the building.
