VMRDA plans to build world-class state parks in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: MV Pranav Gopal, chairman of the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (VMRDA), announced plans to establish an international standard skate park in VMRDA Park with the aim of the 2026 National Games. The VMRDA head, along with Visakhapatnam West MLA Ganababu and VMRDA specialist KS Viswanathan, visited the ice rink on Saturday at Vuda Park. They said the new venue will support the competition organized by the Andhra Pradesh Ice Skating Association.
The MLA and officials interacted with the coach and evaluated the necessary infrastructure. They provide detailed engineering guidelines to ensure that the venue includes all the necessary player amenities and state-of-the-art features. They noted that the project aims to enhance local talent while providing global exposure.
