New Delhi: India said on Thursday it is working closely with Belgium to extradite fugitive Mehul Choksi. Choksi was arrested on Saturday in Antwerp, Belgium, on the basis of formal requests from the Indian government.
“He was arrested in accordance with our extradition request. We are working closely with extradition on the Belgian side so that he can face trial in the country,” said Randhir Jaiswal, spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs.
Indian investigative agency is linked to a bank loan fraud case of Rs 13,500 crore.
