Wallace and Gromit morning routines are lively entertainment popular…but it took a full year to plan

One inventor has recreated the iconic Wallace and Gromit morning routine on a project that has been ongoing over the past year and recreated in a self-made toast and jam.
Joseph Herscher, 40, recreates the classic scene from Wallace and Gromit: the wrong pants, Wallace builds an elaborate machine to simplify his morning work.
Overall, it took him two months to complete the project and two full days to create the current 29-second scene.
After discovering his viral invention online a year ago, the creator of Wallace and Gromit Adman animation reached out to Joseph and offered him a tour, which inspired his decision to continue the project.
Joseph, a British series fan since his youth, is a full-time inventor and YouTuber for more than 12 years and said: “It feels like a childhood dream.”
“I want to know how this invention has been made since I first watched the movie in 1993,” he said.
“It will take about two months to get it to the point where we can continue shooting.”
He added: “This project is more important to me than some other projects.

“I’ve been an Aardman fan since I was a kid and it really feels like I’m fulfilling every little inventor’s dream.”
To play Gromit, London-based Joseph hired a dog named Archie, who took some training courses to learn his role.
This involves pressing a button to pop the jam out of the toaster as it pops out of the toaster.
As the project progresses, it is clear that two key elements will be the hardest to perfect: slide into the pants and then hit the table, cramming the toast.
With the pants, Joseph quickly realized that the decline was much higher than expected.
Joseph said: “I realized I wouldn’t feel good or safely falling from that height, so we hung up a bar connected to Pullies.
“That means it can lower me in a more controlled and progressive way before putting me in my pants.”
The inventor ended up doing 65 times to perfect the toast and jam stunts.

Joseph took a lot of trial and error – and some chemistry to prevent the jam from spilling anywhere.
“The jam really feels like the hardest part of the whole project,” Joseph said.
“I realized early on that if I ejected it like it, it would just fly anywhere instead of aiming directly at the toast.
“So I mixed sodium alginate with jam and put it in a bowl of calcium lactate water.
“Since the two chemicals don’t get along, a hard skin forms around the jam, keeping it spherical.”
Wallace and Gromit fans couldn’t hide their excitement in the comments section of the viral Tiktok video, which had over 10 million views.
One person asked, “How many hours of jam foam are there?”
The second person said, “No one would know how much I wanted as a kid.”
The third person wrote: “I’ve worked on this movie and immediately shared the movie with other animators. It’s incredible!
