Watch: Gurgaon Techie cyclist beaten for overtaking Scorpio near Dwarka Expressway; Rs 9 lakh Kawasaki shattered with baseball bat

Chase and attack near the Dwaka Expressway
Hardik Sharma, a 27-year-old software developer from Hisar, filed a police complaint that the SUV was recklessly driven and attempted to imbalance several bikers. After a brief chase, the cyclists pulled by near the Dwarka highway to avoid confrontation.
“We stopped to avoid confrontation. We thought it would be a peaceful journey to turn into chaos. These guys stopped the SUV and started throwing abuse at us. They tried to reach out to our helmet and hit us. Maybe one of us caught up with the car earlier, which triggered their attack.”
GoPro Camera Capture Attack
According to Sharma, a cyclist installed a GoPro camera on his bike and recorded the attack. The video viewed by TOI showed two men – one wearing yellow shorts and a grey T-shirt and the other wearing a sleeveless red vest and track and field pants, attacking the cyclist. One of the men was also seen questioning the cyclist and taking pictures of their bicycle number plates.
We tried to lower the situation, but they started throwing fists. Most cyclists run around. I ran away, too, but when I saw one of our friends trapped, I came back. Then they caught me and another cyclist escaped. I even apologize for what I didn’t do, but I even waved for me, but they started to sway and sharma didn’t know.
Damage to property and injury
Sharma said he suffered injuries to his thighs, hands and wrists. The attacker also smashed his Kawasaki Z900 motorcycle with a baseball bat, worth Rs 80,000-90,000. He added that the SUV crew waved their knife and issued a death threat before fleeing.
Bicyclist accused police of delay
The organization arrived at the toll square and sought help from the police. “But the police didn’t help. We waited for nearly half an hour in the loss. It took more than six hours to determine which police station has jurisdiction to file a lawsuit.” Ultimately, the District 37 Police Department registered FIR under several sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including criminal intimidation, use of lethal weapons, shared intentions, rash driving, false restrictions and life-threatening.
Investigation is underway
Sharma said the group provided GoPro video footage and used an app called Facecheck ID to track the defendants through its social media profile.
In response to the allegations, police denied any delays. “Investigations are underway and key details and potential customers have been collected. The suspects involved in the assault and vandalism have been identified and will be arrested soon. Further investigations continue.”
