Waves Summit 2025: Shah Rukh Khan reveals Karan Johar's script takes him almost out of Bollywood

FILM director and producer Karan Johar recently hosted a group at Wave Dave of Wave 2025 Summit. The meeting was titled “Journey: From Outsiders to Rulers”, which included Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Both stars are perfect for the group because neither of them has any connections in the film industry and have started to become the highest paid actor in Bollywood and build their own legacy from nothing.

However, the actor recalls the moment when Karan Johar's script almost caused him to quit his industry. SRK remembers the incident and shares that Karan Johar once told him a movie that he asked him to wear a skirt throughout the movie. “That was the only time I wanted to take a step back,” SRK recalled jokingly. In defense, Karan Johar replied that the character was written so that the skirt was needed.
