“We are at a crossroads today, torn apart between choosing war and embracing the peace ideology of Buddha. When the security of a nation is threatened, we must transcend castes and religions to put all differences aside to maintain unity.”

On Monday, he paid tribute to the Buddha statue in the 2569th vaishakh Buddha statue in the suburbs of Karabraji City, where he was talking about a party.

The senior leader stressed that the Constitution, democracy and religion can only survive if the state survives. He called on people not to lose confidence in this “war” situation.

Mr Karg recalls the recent terrorist attacks in Jamu and Pahalgam in Kashmir, who said that Pakistan, which had lost war in India in the past, has caused another conflict. India is a peace-loving country that always prefers Buddha (peace) over “Yudha” (war and conflict). “Any war will only cause harm and destroy people’s lives. But because of the sheer nature of the situation, war sometimes becomes inevitable and we have to accept it.”

He praised the sacrifice of the soldiers guarding the border and said the country insisted on every decision made by the armed forces.

Mr. Karge said this was an important day for Buddhists as it marked the anniversary of the Buddha’s birth. He said that the ideology and doctrine of the Buddha are relevant and influential on a global scale, and the spread in India is not as widespread as it is.

Earlier, Bhante Dhamadutta Thera of Mahabodhi Society in Bangalore paid tribute to the Buddha and gave a sermon.

The gathering also observed the deaths of victims of Pahargam attacks and soldiers who died in the fight against Pakistan.
