Taking a big step forward, Tata Consulting Services (TCS), a part of the Tata Group, has partnered with Jazeera Airways, a low-cost airline in Kuwait, to create a new digital system. The goal is to help airlines grow, improve customer service and explore new ways to make money.

Al Jazeera Airlines started operations in April 2004 and is the first private airline in the Middle East. Today, it flies to over 60 cities throughout the Middle East, Central and South Asia, and Europe, serving more than 5 million passengers each year. As it celebrates the 20th anniversary of its service this year, the airline is planning to significantly improve its digital services.

TCS will lead this transformation by building new websites and mobile applications. They will also create an AI-powered chatbot to help customers. TCS will use its expertise in AI, design, software development and system improvement to manage the entire project. The aim is to improve customer journeys from booking to boarding.

Al Jazeera Air CEO Barathan Pasupathi said the new system will support future growth and make operations more focused on customers. The upgraded platform will allow airlines to provide personalized services and increase revenue.

The new system will also include a retail-based platform for selling additional services such as meals, seating options, and more. Smart tools will provide customers with transactions, and the “Customer 360° Insights Hub” will help airlines better understand customer needs.

The new payment system will support multiple currencies, making it easier for international customers. Smart promotional tools will show the right quotes to the right people, thereby improving direct bookings. Large gatherings will also have a new group booking system.

TCS CEO K. Krithivasan said the company will use its in-depth knowledge of aviation and AI to help Al Jazeera build smart and scalable digital services. TCS has been active in the Middle East and Africa for more than 30 years and has worked with more than 150 companies in various industries.
