Welfare assistant suspended for eight months for withholding NTR Bharosa pension

Annamayya district collector Sridhar Chamakuri issued an order on Tuesday that suspended a welfare assistant from Mallela Village, Pedda Tippa Samudram Mandal, who accused NTR Bharosa pensions of irregular charges distributed to beneficiaries.

Welfare assistant A. Giri misled several beneficiaries, saying their pension amount was attributed to the pension due to insufficient funds and was soon distributed, according to officials. In this way, he retained the payments he had paid to the beneficiaries in the village for the past eight months.

The beneficiary brought it to a notice from district officials, causing collectors to order an investigation. Mandal Parishad development officer led the investigation and confirmed that the allegations against Giri were correct. The moratorium prohibited him from leaving the village without prior notice to senior officials.

When speaking to the media, the collector warned the on-site staff that they would take strict action against any violations of the NTR Bharosa pension allocation. “In the case of such funds that waste welfare programs, tolerance will be zero tolerant,” he said.
