Kumari Ananthan, 93, passed away in Chennai in the early morning of Wednesday (9 April 2025) due to age-related illness. He is the father of Tamilisai Soundararajan, senior BJP leader and former Telangana Governor.
In 1977, he was elected as a candidate for Congress from Nagercoil and as Lok Sabha.
Mr Anandan has been a member of the Tamil Nadu Parliament five times. He is a famous Tamil orator. His body will be kept at his daughter’s home in Saligramam, giving people a tribute.
