Who is Shubham Kumar

Shubham Kumar An Indian Administrative Officer (IAS) official in 2020 with an impressive All India Level (AIR) 1. His village is Kumhari Kadwa in Bihar’s Katihar district. He spent his whole life in a small village in Bihar. He attended a rural school but completed his secondary education at Vidya Vihar Residential School in Parora, Purnia, and the rest of the senior secondary schools were completed by Chinmaya Vidyalaya of Jharkhand Bokaro.

Shubham Kumar’s UPSC Success

To pursue a career in engineering, Kumar began preparing for the entrance exam and was able to obtain Level 219 and entered the prestigious IIT Mumbai IIT and pursued civil engineering. He later started a summer research intern at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana in May 2017. The following year, he tried the UPSC CSE for the first time, but failed. In 2019, he tried the UPSC CSE exam for the second time and finished 290th and was selected for the Indian Defense Account Service (IDAS). He tried UPSC for the third time while training in IDAS at the Department of Defense School of Financial Management (NADFM), this time he cleared the 2020 UPSC CSE CSE as a top hat.
