What does the Supreme Court’s ruling on women mean for businesses – Channel 4 News

Businesses and public places may need to provide additional space for transgender people after the Supreme Court’s ruling on how the law should define women.

According to the court, gender in the Equality Act means biological sexual behavior – meaning trans people with a certificate of gender recognition can be excluded from a single gender space, such as a bathroom or locker room, “if proportionate.”

The head of Equals shows that transgender organizations can promote more neutral or universal facilities.
