Himanta’s days are numbered, he is afraid of Gaurav Gogoi: Congress Pawan Khera Slams Assam administration

Congress leader Pawan Khera slammed the BJP government led by Himanta Biswa Sarma in Assam on Sunday (16 March 2025) for arresting a party spokesman in Guwahati and asserting that CM Sarma should remember his days as “limited” when the era of the chief minister chair was “infinite.” He also claimed that Himanta was “feared” by Congressman Gaurav Gogoi.

Comparison, Mr Khera said, even “10,000 Himantas won’t scare a Gaurav Gogoi”.

Speaking about the arrest of Assam Pawan Khera, a Congress spokesman said: “This reminds us of the various ways in which Congress leaders suffer at the hands of Assam police, including myself. CM should not forget that his days were numbered as chief minister and he would sit in the opposition one day, too.”

“How will he protect his rights if he violates our rights? This shows how scared Himanta Sarma is about Gaurav Gogoi. He is trying to scare care Gaurav Gogoi. Gogoi is a blue-blooded MP and he will never be afraid of him. A thousand Himanta Biswa Sarma can’t scare a Goarav Gogoi gogoi gogoi.”

Earlier, Rakim police arrested in Guwahati, Assam Congress spokesman Reetam Singh sparked a strong exchange between Congress Secretary-General Jairam Ramesh and Assam Chief Minister himmanta biswa sarma thin XX. Caste-based insults targeting Dalit women.

Reetam Singh reportedly was arrested by Lakhimpur police at Guwahati’s residence on Saturday for complaints about social media posts.

On the issue of demarcation, Mr Khera said: “Our position is clear that states that perform well in social indicators and control populations should not be punished for doing so (by reducing the seats in Lok Sabha). Reports by Congress leader Pawan Khera, defending the Telangana government, reported on the inclusion of foreign experts in their caste investigation teams, should not limit the boundaries that limit boundaries. “We live in a global environment.” I don’t think that geographic boundaries matter when borrowing expertise from other countries. ”
