Federal Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in his first remarks after the Pahargam terrorist attack that as defense minister, he had the responsibility to provide appropriate responses to those who dared to attack India. He asserted: “What will happen to you under Prime Minister Narendra Modi”.
Singh also reminded the public of PM Modi's “working style” when talking about Delhi's Sanskrit Jagran Mahotsav. “You know our afternoons very well, you are familiar with his work style, resolve,” said Rajnath Singh.
“As a country, our brave soldiers have always protected the physical form of India, and on the other hand, our sages and wise men have protected the spiritual form of India. On the one hand, our soldiers fight on the “Rannbhoomi” (battlefield), on the other hand, our saints are in contact with my country in the case of the Ministry of Defense. It is my responsibility to give appropriate answers to those who dare to attack our country,” he added.
Pahalgam Tragedy
As many as terrorists opened fire in Baisaran Meadow in Jamu and Pahalgam in Kashmir, up to 26 people were killed. The terrorists fired tourists in sharp range after asking about their religion and asking them to recite “Kalma”.
Following the attack, the Indian government took bold measures to send a strong message to Pakistan-backed cross-border terrorism. New Delhi announced a moratorium on the Indian Water Treaty, cancel visa services for Parker nationals, cut the strength of India's Parker advisers and close the Waga Waga border.
In addition, Prime Minister Modi has been holding key meetings with three armed chiefs as the country awaits military operations against Parker.
