Deputy Prime Minister Dhankhar, PM Modi in the State Combination Day

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of Maharashtra and Gujarat on Thursday (1 May 2025) on the day of their states and praised the rapid progress.

These two Western countries are the most prosperous countries in the country, and in 1960 it was the state of Mumbai.

Modi said in his post on X that Maharashtra has always played a crucial role in India’s development. He said that when people think of Maharashtra, “its glorious history and the courage of the people come to our minds”.

The prime minister said the state remains a strong pillar of progress while still associated with its root causes.

“My best wishes for the state’s progress,” he said.

Modi greeted the people of Gujarat, and Mr. Modi said: “The country is famous for its culture, business and spirit of vitality. The people of Gujarat have performed well in every field. May the country continue to achieve new heights of progress.”

The Vice President said in his message that the lands of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujarat continue to be inspired by their legacy of leadership, resilience and innovation.

Dhankhar refers to Maharashtra, saying that the state’s legacy of social reform, cultural vitality and economic leadership remains a source of national pride.
